I had the honor and pleasure of photographing a wonderful event for the Wildlife Habitats of South Woodlawn. (http://www.swna-knox.org/wildlife-habitat-community) They are trying to become the first community in Tennessee to become officially certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a Community Wildlife Habitat. They had a guest speaker from Ijams Nature Center (http://www.ijams.org/) speak about making our yards and homes more inviting for birds and woodpeckers. The vice-mayor's wife, Joy Pavlis, showed how they make their wild bluebird food. There was also wonderful food by Three River's Market (http://www.threeriversmarket.coop/) and music by Karen Fletcher, Rick Long & Tom Norris.
